Tucked away in an unspoiled nook of a quiet Kerala village called Vambalathupadam, against a backdrop of rolling hills, surrounded by lush green paddy fields, The Home Stay is a haven of serenity and seclusion. The main house, a half century old edifice, and the home stay, nestle in a three and a half acre property which boasts of several exotic floras. A natural, fresh water pond (which local people call a 'kolam') teems with myriad fish and on lazy afternoons a dip in its cool waters will be both rejuvenating and refreshing. The Home Stay retains an old world charm in the presence of the family matriarch, who is a sprightly 95. A unique feature of the home stay is the heady mix of experiences it offers. This includes an opportunity to connect with the local milieu and participate in the simple, sedate pace of village life. It offers a welcome break for those wishing to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life and especially for NRIs, a chance to reconnect with their roots and thereby gain a better understanding of the social and cultural heritage of Kerala. Club this with unlimited access to the breathtaking panoramic vistas the state is so famous for and you have a deal you cannot resist. With service which is relaxed, warm, gracious and genuine this tranquil home stay is guaranteed to weave its magic on you. In contrast to its rural ambience, this home stay is well equipped with all modern amenities. Connected by road and rail, it is strategically located within a 10 km radius of the towns of Shoranur, Ottapalam and Pattambi. Cochin, Coimbatore and Calicut airports are about a 100 kms from Vambalathupadam.

This is a great place to stay; all mod cons - A/C, en-suite, comfortable beds. But best of all is the chance to ......
