Perched on a hillock in anchiluppa of Kanjirappally this stately home was built way back in 1927 as a family residence. The same old building with little modifications has been painstakingly restored and transformed. It is set amidst a sprawling 20 Acre Rubber Plantation on the banks of river chittar. Its architecture is authentic kerala style exuding an ambience of a bygone era. The tiled and steeply pitched roof adorns the building. Its gabled red-tiled roofs are well supported by intricately carved out wooden pillars. Of course the interiors blend tradition with the luxuries and amenities of modern living which includes a swimming pool. The resort is a 'Tharavadu' stately yet traditional, and breathtakingly beautiful, heavily timbered with floors of athankudi tiles, long verandas and an open courtyard thirsting to be unravelled. The building is an architectural splendour; typical blend of early Syrian Christian home architecture with the traditional spacious Keralite style of numerous cross ventilated doors and windows which let in lots of air and sunlight.
