Apt for nature lovers, travelers and adventurous homosapiens who are in search of experiencing the old world charm and travel back in time. Built in 1871, A quaint Colonial style Villa and a Cottage is placed on a 5 acre property that consists of horse-stables, Temples and other hang out spaces to enjoy the flora and fauna of the wilderness. We are sensitive to global warming; hence the high voltage hot water geysers have been substituted with solar water systems. For power, there is a battery back-up instead of generators. The property is located at Matheran's One Tree Hill point, a serene pollution free place. The Villa consist of 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a large dining room, a fully equipped kitchen that can accommodate about 8 people comfortably, more can be accommodated if needed. The Cottage consist of 2 Suites, 2 bathrooms, which can each accommodate 5 people each (max). There is an outside patio/garden for both the Suites that can be used to gaze at the trees in the days and the stars at night. This is a pet friendly house… Food The food is home made style. We serve vegetarians as well as non-vegetarians. The style can be either in the local Maharastrian style or the Gujrati style cuisine. We also prepare eggs and toast for breakfast besides the usual, fresh fruit garnished with freshly plucked mint and tea/coffee for breakfast. For lunch and dinner, a nutritious thali will be served with assortments of dishes, rice and rotis. Meal times Breakfast 9:00 am - 10:00 am Lunch 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm Dinner 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm Please note, the package includes 3 meals, morning tea and evening tea. For any other snacky rations, kindly carry it with you since the closest stores are in the main town which is 30 minutes away.
